Lifesize house made of cardboard and wood.

Installation about living with an alcoholic. Highlights the discrepancy between external appearances and reality. Ordinary house from the outside, claustrophobic small space inside; with blue light and sound of dripping water, referring to an ancient torture method.
Created as part of my university degree.

Size: 1.80 x 2.30 x 2.50 m

Sideview of cardboard house.

The installation was exhibited at the final Degree Show of the London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London.

Yep – it did pass the health and safety inspection.

Behind the Scenes

Creating a wooden frame. Screenprinting posterboard for walls and roof. Building smaller black panels for the inside of the house.
